Abstract
This report, written by Fiona Kauer, Ismene Ehrler, Léo Brumm, and Nouri Abdelgadir of the Responsible City project team, offers an overview of urbanization trends and housing policies in Switzerland. It begins with a discussion of the political, legal, and planning frameworks at the national level, before turning to an analysis of two Swiss urban centers: Geneva and Zurich. For each city, the report introduces the historical development of urban planning, current policy approaches and the housing situation today.
